We are now looking for an Investment Controller for Tidaholm Municipality.

About the assignment

The assignment runs from August 17, 2026, to February 15, 2027, with the possibility of extension. The work is performed on-site at the Town Hall in Tidaholm. The position is 50% full-time. Some increase in workload may occur if needed.

Your responsibilities

As an Investment Controller, you will be responsible for leading the overall financial processes and providing support to managers and project managers with in-depth analyses and quality assurance of reports. You will be part of the client's knowledgeable controlling team within the Finance and Business Control unit. The municipality's Finance and Business Control unit is centrally located at the Municipal Executive Office in the Town Hall and is responsible for the overall work with accounting, financing, budgeting, follow-up, and procurement.

• Responsible for developing project budgets, calculations, forecasts, and business planning.
• Responsible for ongoing follow-up through analysis of financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs), as well as leading the work with status reporting for the project.
• Responsible for developing investment calculations and financial review of decision materials.
• Drive work within the framework of the municipality's processes, guidelines, and policies.
• Drive business development related to finance and business control, as well as lead training activities regarding, for example, forecasting, the investment process, and business systems.
• Contribute both strategically and operationally to financial work.
• Provide proactive support to managers and project managers.

Your qualifications

• At least a three-year university degree in economics or equivalent.
• Experience from the public sector, politically governed organizations, municipal sector, and primary municipalities.
• Experience of qualified controlling work within the public sector, community planning, contracting, or complex investment projects.
• Very good knowledge of the Office package.
• Accustomed to working independently and making decisions to the extent required by the assignment.
• Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. This means being able to absorb information and communicate with all contact points within the scope of the assignment without difficulty.
• Experience and ability to drive development and improvement of processes.

Meritorious

• Experience and good knowledge of using BI systems.
