About the Workplace

We are now looking for you who want to work as a cook in schools and preschools with us in Vaggeryd Municipality. In our school and preschool kitchens, we work on preparing good, sustainable, and nutritious meals. We have 25 kitchens in the municipality that vary in design. We work with seasonal fruits and vegetables. Our employees are encouraged to be creative in their work. The goal is for the joy of work to spread to our preschool children and students. Well-being and a pleasant dining atmosphere are important parts of the meal, just as we always strive to provide good service and a welcoming attitude to all our diners.

Job Responsibilities

As a cook, you plan and prepare all types of meals according to current guidelines and ensure that daily routines are followed. You participate in all tasks in the kitchen and dining room, including menu planning, and handle ordering and receiving goods. You are also responsible for dishwashing and keeping the dining room and common areas clean. You are expected to collaborate with other operations, be involved, and contribute to the development of the business.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a cook education and experience working independently in a kitchen. You have a strong sense of service and a genuine interest in people, which is reflected in your attitude and joy of work.

You have good computer skills, and it is a requirement that you have a B-driver's license for automatic transmission. You also have solid knowledge of special diets and are accustomed to working with self-control procedures. To succeed in the role, you need to master the Swedish language well, both in speech and writing.

The position requires an extract from the Police's criminal record register because we work within the Child and Education Administration. Please note that the police have a processing time of approx. 2 weeks; we recommend ordering your extract in connection with your application to us.
