About Us

Hooks Herrgård is a unique destination, located just 20 minutes south of Jönköping. We have been named Sweden's best meeting venue on several occasions, offer one of Scandinavia's leading Spa & Fitness facilities, and two high-class golf courses. Here you will also find a kitchen with high ambitions, great creativity, and genuine passion for culinary experiences – and this is where you come into the picture.

Our kitchen team currently consists of approximately 20 dedicated employees led by Gregory Gosse, Food & Beverage Manager. At Hooks Herrgård, we work with great care for the ingredients and focus on seasonal adjustments.

Your Responsibilities

To our kitchen at Hooks Herrgård, we are now looking for a creative and driven Sous Chef for our hot kitchen. The position involves working evenings and every other weekend.

As a Sous Chef, you play a key role in daily operations and help create flavorful experiences for our guests. We are looking for you who are a passionate food creator with a sense for quality, flavors, and presentation – and who thrives in a leadership role where you get to inspire and develop the people around you.

Here, several Sous Chefs work together in close collaboration where team spirit, communication, and clear leadership are crucial for success. You are expected to take responsibility during service, contribute structure and energy to the kitchen, and serve as a role model for the team in daily work. Good collaboration within your own department is a given, as is close collaboration with other departments on the premises, not least the restaurant team, to create a first-class overall experience for our guests together.

The responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Operational responsibility in the kitchen during service
  • Leadership and coaching of the kitchen team
  • Planning and structure in daily operations
  • Involvement in menu development and concept work
  • Working together with other Sous Chefs and the Food & Beverage Manager to develop, streamline, and drive the kitchen forward
About You

Do you have a passion for cooking, leadership, and creating top-class experiences? Then you could be our next addition to Hooks Herrgård.

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant education and experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
  • Experience with both traditional Swedish cuisine (husmanskost) and à la carte
  • A genuine interest in food, flavors, and creative cooking
  • Strong leadership skills and experience working in teams
  • Knowledge of HACCP and self-control procedures
  • Driver's license and access to a car

About the Position

Permanent position with an initial probationary period.
Working hours: Evenings and every other weekend.
Start date: According to agreement.
