We are now looking for you who want to work as a substitute with us, either as a cook or meal service staff! You are welcome to apply to us within the School and Preschool Kitchens of the Child and Education Board.
With us, you will encounter fantastic kitchens with dedicated cooks and meal service staff who do their utmost every day in their mission. Our goal is to serve nutritious, safe, and delicious food. We place great importance on our guests — children and students — feeling safe, included, and enjoying themselves in our restaurants.
Collaboration in the kitchens and between the kitchens is one of our greatest strengths. We currently have 17 kitchens of various sizes throughout the municipality. All kitchens work based on the same foundation, but each kitchen also puts its own stamp based on its guests and their needs. Responsiveness, joy, and engagement are central to our work.
Job Responsibilities
- Cooking in large-scale kitchens according to our menus and guidelines.
- Serving meals with joy and a service-oriented attitude.
- Ensuring order, cleaning, and hygiene according to current routines.
- Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience from a kitchen or large-scale kitchen.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing (for safe food handling).
- Driver's license – work may take place in several kitchens in the municipality.
- Flexible, creative, and solution-oriented.
- Enjoy working with a focus on children and students.
Other Requirements
- We always request a criminal record extract before employment.
- You need to provide two references that we can contact.
- At the interview, you must be able to show a valid ID or passport.
About the Position
This is an intermittent employment, which means you will be asked to work as needed, where shifts vary depending on the operations' needs.
The advertisement will be published throughout the summer. After the holidays, we will review all applications and follow up with all applicants.

This recruitment process includes interviews and reference checks.
For your interview, you need to bring a passport/national ID and, if applicable, proof of residence permit if you hold citizenship outside the EU/EEA. As employers, we need to verify your identity and ensure you have the right to work in Sweden.
For positions requiring specific education, those who proceed in the recruitment process will be asked to submit documentation proving their education, e.g., licenses or degree certificates. You can also attach them directly to your application.
