About the business and the position
Högland is a privately owned hotel with extensive restaurant and conference facilities, operating independently without chain affiliation. We have been in operation for over 60 years and serve a customer base both locally and internationally.
We aim to further develop our restaurant operations through increased expertise. We are looking for you to join our kitchen team and take responsibility for one of Högland's largest restaurants, which seats 250 guests and includes a banquet hall. Our well-regarded restaurant was renovated eight years ago to create a welcoming environment, and the kitchen was updated one year ago. Our operations are comprehensive, offering breakfast, lunch, conference catering, and à la carte dining. We are located in central Nässjö, just 50 meters from the Travel Center.
The role of Chef is characterized by a focus on managing Restaurang Högland's well-established products and contributing to the kitchen team's continuous improvement efforts. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and management to ensure the restaurant's direction and product quality. We are Green Key-certified, and sustainability is a key factor in our work.
Requirements
To succeed in the role of Chef, you value good collaboration with your staff and know how to manage the well-established Högland concept. You are structured in your work and methodical in your execution. You are motivated by maintaining a positive atmosphere among staff and creating value for guests by maintaining high quality and precision in your cooking. This makes you a role model, contributing to high professionalism and a flat hierarchy, which is reflected in a positive guest experience.
You are confident in your culinary knowledge and are an inspiring team player who can engage your employees based on their individual circumstances with an inclusive and challenging approach.
Competence and Experience
- Several years of documented experience in a leading role in the kitchen
- Experience working with key figures and follow-up reports
- Fluent in Swedish and English
The position is a permanent part-time role at 80%. Working hours are during the day and evening, governed by the business's opening hours.
