Your new workplace

Kuskvägen 12 is a group home where five individuals with varying physical and cognitive support needs live. The operations are characterized by an individualized approach with a focus on security, participation, and good quality of life for the residents.

The work team consists of eleven permanent employees, two of whom work night shifts. During the day and evening, four employees work simultaneously to ensure close support and good care in daily life. The role involves shifts during the day, evening, and every other weekend.

How you contribute as a Support Assistant

In the role of Support Assistant, you work based on the Act concerning Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled Persons (LSS) and other relevant legislation. You provide individually adapted support to care recipients based on their implementation plans and daily needs. The support covers psychological, physical, and social needs and aims to promote independence, participation, and quality of life while respecting the individual's integrity and self-determination.

The work involves supporting care recipients in daily activities and contributing to a meaningful and active daily life from a social, habilitation, and rehabilitation perspective. You collaborate with the care recipients' networks, authorities, and other professions based on the individual's needs.

Delegated by nurses, occupational therapists, or physiotherapists, certain healthcare tasks may also occur.

The duties include documentation, work with implementation plans, follow-ups, and incident reporting according to current routines and guidelines. You are expected to work according to the operations' methods and contribute to quality development through improvement work and ideas for the development of the operations.

You actively participate in meetings, planning days, competence development, and potential ombudsman roles. The role also includes participating in the introduction and mentoring of new employees.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who are trained as a nurse assistant (undersköterska) or have other education that the employer deems equivalent. Examples of relevant education include:

• Health and Care Program with specialization in disability or psychiatry
• Child and Youth Program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work

It is an advantage if you have:

• Nurse assistant education with a focus on disability
• Experience working in similar operations
• Experience in low-affective interaction
• Training in LifeCare
• Experience documenting within LSS and HSL

The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You also need to be able to handle digital work tools and document journal notes.

To work in the LSS group home and collaborate with others, you must have good cooperation and problem-solving skills and be receptive. You are flexible and able to work both independently and in a team. You can plan, structure, and drive the work forward.

You need to be calm, stable, and maintain control in stressful situations. You also have a good understanding of how different people absorb knowledge and information and can adapt your way of communicating messages based on the recipient's needs.

The work involves heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks, which means you need good physical fitness to perform the duties safely and ergonomically.
