You will be working with me, a 7-year-old girl who enjoys music, dance, films, playing around, running in my walker, as well as walks with my wheelchair in nature. I always need an adult nearby who interprets and supports, listens and initiates, but also supervises to ensure my safety. During the day, I attend school together with my assistant.

I am sensitive to infections, so during certain periods, we may need to stay at home instead of going to school. I need help with toilet visits, showering, dressing and undressing, moving around, tube feeding, inhalations, taking medication, as well as initiatives for play and interaction.

My care needs likely involve heavy lifting on your part, so you need to be physically fit. I also have extensive mucus issues, so it is important that you are vigilant and calm enough to handle stressful situations that may arise in connection with this. I have my own communication style. You need to be creative, responsive, and attentive to both my subtle signals and my body language.

It is also important that you speak Swedish, as I, in addition to being non-verbal, have a severe intellectual disability as well as impaired vision and hearing. I would appreciate it if you could use alternative communication methods such as sign language or picture support (AAC).

It is important to me that my assistants are happy, have imagination, and take initiative so that I have a fun and meaningful daily life with people I can rely on.

We are looking for you who are a conscientious and secure person, keen on creating conditions for a meaningful daily life for a child with great challenges. If you are also resourceful and have an interest and curiosity for finding ways to communicate with non-verbal individuals, you likely fit the profile we are looking for.

The client is sensitive to infections. Therefore, we are looking for you who are responsible and understand the caution needed to be a secure personal assistant. An example of this would be if someone in your family is sick, and you inform the operations manager, relatives, and other personal assistants about the situation, and wait a day before working a shift. Avoiding larger gatherings, such as playhouses in shopping malls or taking the bus if not necessary, due to higher infection risks in these places.

It is important that you are responsive to be able to follow, perceive, and interpret the child's needs and signals. Previous experience with children with multiple disabilities and care work is meritorious. Particularly meritorious is knowledge and experience with tube feeding, administration of medication and inhalations, as well as mucus mobilization.

You may already know, and have the curiosity to want to learn more about alternative communication such as sign language and picture support.

It is important to me that you have good cooperation skills and are clear in your communication handover so that you can convey my day and my needs to the next person so that the team functions together.

You will work closely with the child's parent but largely on your own when the parent is working, which places high demands on independence.
