About the position

We are currently looking for a nurse to join our nursing team. We offer you, as a nurse, a varied and developmental role. Your main tasks will involve psychiatric nursing and follow-up of patients undergoing medication. The role also includes providing information, advice, and support to children, adolescents, and their parents. The work requires close collaboration with doctors as well as other team members to create safe and cohesive care for the patient. Together with the other nurses at the clinic, you are an expert in your field and contribute your knowledge to patient care and the team. Collaboration with neighboring healthcare providers, schools, and social services is an important part of the job.

The clinic is well-functioning and has an established structure that allows for a high degree of independent work. You will receive support in your work through team conferences, consultation time with our specialist doctors, as well as regular collegial and external supervision.

Who are we?

Psychiatry Halland is responsible for all publicly run specialized psychiatry within the region. This includes activities for children, adolescents, and adults, both outpatient and inpatient care. Psychiatry Halland has approximately 950 employees and operations in all municipalities in the region, of which approximately 300 work within BUP. Psychiatry is led by an administrative director, operation managers, and ward managers. Our motto is: "Psychiatry Halland – in constant improvement".

BUP Varberg is a well-functioning clinic with good treatment results and high patient satisfaction. Our team consists of approximately 25 employees with a broad spectrum of experiences and competencies. Here, psychologists, doctors, counselors, nurses, medical secretaries, special educators, and occupational therapists work together to meet the patient's needs.

We work close to research based on evidence-based methods and guidelines. We have high ambitions and actively work to improve, among other things, through quality follow-ups of all our patients.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with commitment and interest in our target group and who wish to contribute to good care for the children and adolescents who need our interventions. We would like you to have experience working with children, young people, and their parents. Further education in psychiatry or other relevant further education is meritorious. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a prerequisite for fulfilling the assignment, as are good computer skills.

You thrive in stimulating work that requires flexibility and problem-solving skills. You have a good ability to create well-functioning cross-professional relationships and adapt your approach based on the patient's needs.
