Do you want to make a difference for people with disabilities?

Habilitering & Hälsa, part of the Region Västra Götaland, offers specialized care and support to individuals with permanent disabilities. Our goal is to maintain and develop functional capacity, create conditions for good health, and enable active participation in society. Together, we have the power to change.

About the position

We are looking for registered nurses for one-year fixed-term positions at Habilitering Barn och Ungdom (Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation) in Gothenburg, located at the Hisingen clinic. These positions become available due to parental leave. This is an excellent opportunity for you who are curious about our operations and wish to work in a supportive team.

Patients are distributed across one clinic for autism/intellectual disability (ID) and two clinics for motor disabilities (MD). As a nurse, you will have a comprehensive overview of all patient groups, as we staff the phone jointly and support each other as needed. You will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, speech therapists, and special educators.

Your responsibilities

You will conduct assessments and analyses in close collaboration with children/adolescents, parents, and other professional groups. You will then plan and implement interventions that are subsequently evaluated. Your primary areas of work include sleep, medication follow-up, elimination, nutrition/gastrostomy, and epilepsy. You will have your own clinic or coordinated visits with other professional groups. Interventions can be provided individually or in groups during defined periods. You will act as a link for medical issues within the rehabilitation department and have a coordinating role towards neighboring care units.

Qualifications

  • You are a registered nurse.
  • Further education, preferably in pediatric care, is meritorious.
  • Clinical experience from child and adolescent psychiatry, child and adolescent medicine, and/or child and adolescent neurology is meritorious.
  • You have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Personal suitability is highly valued.

About us

Habilitering Hisingen is a specialist outpatient clinic where approximately 90 employees work in multidisciplinary teams. We strive for person-centered care focused on creating value for the patient, ensuring good accessibility, and providing respectful treatment. We work in close cooperation with units such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), DSBS, Närhälsan, and School Health Services.

Terms of employment

We offer an induction period and collegial supervision. Employment benefits include occupational pension, salary exchange, contractual insurance, free outpatient healthcare, and a wellness allowance. We strive for gender balance and see diversity as a strength.

Application

The Region Västra Götaland prefers that you register your application via our recruitment system. Recruitment is ongoing, so you may be contacted before the application deadline. For questions about the position, please contact the person specified in the advertisement.
