The Elderly Care Administration is responsible for municipal-wide issues concerning elderly care, as well as coordinating, developing, and monitoring elderly care in the city in dialogue with the district boards.

Elderly Care Administration – IT and Security Unit

We at the IT and Security Unit work closely with our support and management functions to offer our employees and users value-creating products, services, and systems. We always put the user and the user experience first and develop our services accordingly.

In 2026, Sweden's largest elderly care and social services will take the next big step in our joint digitalization journey.

We have pooled our resources in a common collaboration arena (portfolio) with five collaboration areas (objects) and a common hub (portfolio office). We work across organizational boundaries to reduce administration, share expertise, and test innovative solutions that can be scaled up for the entire city.

Our five digital collaboration areas are:

  • Authority execution and provider documentation
  • Welfare technology
  • Resident-oriented services
  • Data and analytical support
  • Digital basic services and secure communication

We are located in newly renovated and activity-based premises a stone's throw from the Älvsjö commuter train and bus station, with proximity to restaurants, cafes, and services.

Your role

In this role, you have a central function in the digitalization work of social services and elderly care. You work city-wide, drive development, and hold the whole together. This is done through collaboration with operations within the city's eleven district administrations as well as with the Social Services Administration and the Elderly Care Administration. You lead or actively participate in development work, ensuring that digital opportunities are utilized in a way that supports the operation's goals.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

  • Identifying and handling needs, conducting preliminary studies, and realizing digital solutions that enable new ways of working within the city's social services and elderly care
  • Preparing decision materials and recommendations for prioritization to the portfolio's various steering groups
  • Leading development assignments from our five digital collaboration areas (objects) that support the various core operations of social services and elderly care in introducing digital ways of working
  • Being an expert in IT and digitalization

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have:

  • An academic degree in IT or other education that we assess as equivalent
  • Several years of current experience in digitalization, change or asset management, or alternatively as a product owner in larger organizations
  • Current experience working in the interface between operations and IT
  • Current experience in translating strategic goals into tactical plans and operational priorities
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Current experience of working within public administration
  • Current experience of process automation
  • Knowledge of LOU (the Public Procurement Act)

Your structure allows you to handle several tasks in parallel, keep timeframes, and deliver with quality. You have a strategic holistic perspective, but can also work operationally and tactically.
