As the Department Manager for Grocery/Frozen Foods at Coop Lundby, you are responsible for performing all common store tasks and ensuring the best possible customer service. You are a key face of the store and work strictly according to Coop's guidelines, routines, and values. You are a key person in customer interactions and in creating a pleasant and inspiring store environment.

We are looking for you who are service-oriented, positive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you meet many people every day. You take responsibility, collaborate well with others, and actively contribute to an inclusive work environment. To succeed in this role, we see that you have good physical fitness as the work may involve heavy lifting, and that you have a strong desire to learn and develop in your role.

Main responsibilities

• Stocking and fronting of products
• Creating attractive product displays
• Checkout operations
• Handling complaints and returns according to routines
• Self-control, cleaning, and tidiness in the store, warehouse, and staff areas
• Maintenance and cleaning of machines and equipment
• Following physical inventory and shrinkage routines
• Contributing to continuous improvements and a good work environment
• Product ordering
• Returns, receiving checks, and delivery notes
• Handling CAO (Central Order Administration)
• Price labeling and campaign signage
• Price changes
• Opening and closing the store according to current routines

The position is a full-time employment of 38.25 hours/week with start date as agreed. Working hours vary and are scheduled during day and evening times as well as weekends. We apply a probationary period. Recruitment is ongoing and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Requirements

• Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing are required
• 18 years of age, as you must be able to work independently at the checkout

Merits:

• Experience and competence from retail and/or other service professions
• High school education
• Multilingualism
• Basic knowledge of store economics or food handling
