Our Operations

Are you a dedicated nurse who wants to develop within stroke care and general internal medicine? Medicine Ward 2 is looking for more colleagues to join our dedicated team!

We are a general medical ward where we also offer specialized care for stroke patients. The ward has 24 beds and consists of approximately 50 employees. We work in multiprofessional teams in accordance with national guidelines for stroke care. Here on the ward, you will have the opportunity to grow with us and become part of our determined effort to provide our patients with the best possible care.

We are a cheerful and cohesive group striving to constantly improve our care. We value a secure work environment where everyone, both patients and staff, feels included and satisfied. Here, you will receive support from a senior nurse who helps new employees get started, as well as a coordinator and a discharge nurse who make daily work smoother.

Your Role

As a nurse on our ward, you will have a varied and educational workday, with the opportunity to work with both stroke care and general internal medicine. You lead the nursing care and work closely with our nursing assistants in the team. The work requires you to be flexible and able to switch quickly between different tasks.

We offer stroke competence training in collaboration with Umeå University, held on-site at the hospital. We are also part of the nursing education program at Uppsala University and host students from various semesters and professions.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience in inpatient care and medicine is meritorious, but we value your willingness to learn and grow in your role. You are flexible, enjoy collaborating, and have a strong interest in working with people. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

We are looking for someone who is flexible and adapts easily to changing circumstances, seeing opportunities rather than obstacles. You work in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your tasks effectively to meet set deadlines. With your empathetic ability, you can put yourself in others' perspectives and situations professionally, without taking over their feelings.
