Welcome to a committed team at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry unit within Skaraborg Hospital. We have psychologists with extensive clinical experience, specialist competence, and research connections. We are now looking for additional psychologists for our outpatient clinics in Mariestad and Skövde, which are part of the BUP Skaraborg team.

The Operations

BUP Skaraborg is responsible for specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents attending our outpatient clinics in Mariestad and Skövde, as well as BUP's emergency responsibility. We meet children and adolescents aged 0–18 and their families.

Here, a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dietitians, assistant nurses, and administrative staff works together. Our focus is on providing our patients with the best possible care. We have an open climate, high competence, and a strong focus on both patient and employee well-being.

Your Responsibilities

As a psychologist here, you have the opportunity to shape your role according to your interests and competence. Our psychologists work, among other things, with:

• Assessment
• Neuropsychiatric investigations
• Individual treatment interventions
• Psychopedagogical interventions, both individually and in groups
• Collaboration with guardians, schools, social services, and other actors

• Are a licensed psychologist
• Have education in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Enjoy working in a team and have good collaboration skills
• Have an interest in or previous experience working with children and adolescents
• Are secure, sensitive, and have a genuine commitment to the target group

Other Information

Since the work sometimes takes place outside the clinic, a Category B driving license is desirable.

For appointments within psychiatry, we require extracts from the suspicion and criminal records register. This request is handled by the employer.
