Are you ready to take the next step in your career? As a Production Engineer, you will shape tomorrow's products. With a focus on new development and efficiency, you will play a key role in bringing products from idea to reality in a sustainable industry.

About the role

In this position, you will primarily work on developing and optimizing production processes to both adapt flows for new products and drive improvement measures in existing production.

The role is located within the manufacturing unit, which covers sheet metal/machining, welding, and painting, with a special focus on a welding department. You will become part of a competent team where you will receive a thorough introduction during the first few weeks to quickly get up to speed with the operations.

Responsibilities

You will work broadly with technical production development, focusing on creating efficient and stable processes. Your main areas of responsibility include:

  • Flow Optimization: Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in production to ensure the highest possible throughput.
  • Analysis & Measurement: Conduct time studies as a basis for method improvements and capacity planning.
  • Process Design: Develop and maintain takt flows to create a balanced and predictable production.
  • Layout & Investment: Work with workplace design and layout, and participate in and drive technical investment projects.
  • Industrialization: Be involved in the development of new products, from product review to responsibility for prototype and pre-series builds, and ensure that the right tools are available.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Economics, or another relevant engineering background.
  • Has a strong technical interest and is driven by diving into complex production flows.
  • Has a good understanding of systems and experience with the Office suite.
  • Communicates fluently in both Swedish and English, as the role requires daily contact in both languages.

Advantageous:

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement work.
  • Previous experience in welding production or heavy industry.
