PRIMA Child and Adult Psychiatry offers specialist psychiatric outpatient care for children and adults with moderate to severe psychiatric issues. We provide general psychiatric care, psychosis care, and eating disorder treatment. Our operations also include a neuropsychiatric specialist clinic. Our catchment area for adult psychiatry is northeastern Stockholm, including the municipalities of Danderyd, Täby, Lidingö, Vallentuna, Österåker, and Vaxholm. We work on behalf of Region Stockholm.
We are now looking for a PTP (Postgraduate Training Program) psychologist with a CBT focus to join our clinic in PRIMA Åkersberga. The clinic has a general psychiatric mandate and is characterized by a high-quality approach, evidence-based care, a good work environment, and close interdisciplinary collaboration. At PRIMA Åkersberga, doctors, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, care assistants, and medical secretaries work together. The PRIMA Åkersberga Psychosis unit is also located in the same premises, offering the opportunity to work with this patient group as well.

About the roleAs a PTP psychologist with us, you will become part of an engaged team consisting of psychologists, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, care assistants, and medical secretaries. You will receive supervision from experienced psychologists and have the opportunity to broaden your clinical skills in psychiatric diagnostics, treatment, and assessment through extensive patient contact. The work includes among other things:
- Clinical assessments and diagnostics
- Conducting psychological treatment, individually and potentially in groups
- Neuropsychiatric assessments, personality assessments, and bipolar assessments
- Collaboration with other professions and external partners
- Active participation in teamwork and development work
We are looking for you who want to make a difference – for real.
- Degree in Psychology with eligibility to start the PTP program
- Previous experience in psychiatric work
- CBT as a therapeutic focus
- Interest in psychiatry and working with complex clinical issues
- Good collaboration skills and willingness to contribute to a good team climate
- Non-hierarchical and engaged
- Ability to work independently and structured with the support of supervision
- A well-structured PTP position with clear goals
- An experienced and engaged supervisor
- Opportunities to develop within different clinical areas
- A warm, competent, and supportive work team
- A local PTP program in addition to the regional PTP program
The position is a fixed-term employment. Interviews are conducted continuously. The recruitment process will begin with a telephone interview followed by a second interview planned at the clinic.
