Chef de Cuisine at Campus Sandbacken

Are you an ambitious chef looking to join a well-functioning kitchen team? Located right next to Katarina Church, you will find our schools and shared production kitchen, which serves students from Sjölins Gymnasium and Vittra Södermalm daily.

Your Role in the Kitchen - Responsibilities

Together with the head chef and other staff members, you will create an extraordinary lunch experience. The kitchen is equipped with everything imaginable to let your creativity flow. Here, you will have all the opportunities to be part of a team passionate about their work!

As a chef with us, you are responsible for:

  • Production: Preparing and presenting nutritious and delicious lunches for both schools in the building. Approximately 1,000 portions per day, mostly made from scratch. We also bake our own bread.

  • Sustainability: We work with circular cooking and AcadeMedia's guidelines, where a green focus and minimal food waste are a given.

  • Collaboration: You are a key link between the kitchen and the school's students, and your personality contributes to a positive atmosphere in the dining hall.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is a humble team player, flexible, passionate, and creative in creating a top-class student restaurant. You understand that presentation is just as important as taste and sustainability when it comes to lunch.

  • Experience: Trained chef with at least 3 years of experience from restaurants and/or large-scale kitchens.

  • Competence: You have a good palate, are well-organized, and have good knowledge of self-control and resource efficiency. You are familiar with volumes and can place raw material orders via e-commerce and phone if needed. You have experience and knowledge regarding allergies and special diets.

  • Personality: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are communicative, and see contact with students as a natural and enjoyable part of your workday.

  • Language: You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Other Information

This is a permanent position in the form of a "leave allowance" role at 87%. A leave allowance role means you receive a fixed monthly salary year-round, work full-time Monday–Friday, but are on paid leave during school holidays. We apply a six-month probation period. Start date is by agreement in early August 2026.

If offered employment with us, you will be required to show an extract from the criminal record register before the employment contract comes into effect. Order the extract well in advance as it can take up to two weeks to receive the document. You can also order the extract directly to Kivra.
