Description

Tumba Upper Secondary School is one of the better-functioning schools in Greater Stockholm, welcoming students from nearly 20 municipalities. Every day, our school restaurant prepares and serves 1,300 meals, while delivering an additional 400 meals to nearby schools.

You, the successful candidate, are a trained chef, a skilled cook, and accustomed to working at a high pace with a high-performing team. You have experience working with large volumes and take pride and joy in delivering quality meals to our young people.

The dining hall team is led by a highly qualified and skilled restaurant manager, and as a chef, you will be his right hand and have the opportunity to develop further. The dining hall team consists of 10 employees, all of whom are skilled and deliver high quality. It is important to be a team player and enjoy working together with good colleagues.

Our goal is to avoid pre-fabricated products as much as possible, considering economic and working time aspects. We are always open to new ideas that can make our good school food even better.

Responsibilities

The position requires knowledge of self-control programs and nutrition. Special dietary requirements are also part of the job description.

Together with the restaurant manager, you will write weekly menus and plan purchases. It is important that you are accustomed to planning ahead and have a good ability to improvise.

Your main responsibility is cooking and planning for upcoming lunch services, as well as any special orders that align with the school's activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained chef with good references from previous workplaces. Documented knowledge of special diets, self-control measures, and nutrition, as well as experience working in large-scale kitchens at a high pace.

Conditions

HÖK (Collective Agreement). Permanent employment, although a probationary period may apply.
