The LSS Department is the third largest department within the Welfare Administration. Our mandate is to implement decisions made under the LSS Act, primarily decisions regarding housing with special services, personal assistance, and day activities. The goal of the support we provide is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in societal life, so that the individual who has been granted an intervention has the opportunity to live like everyone else.
Our work is carried out through individually tailored support with high quality and respect for self-determination, where good treatment permeates all operations.
We are now looking for two committed and goal-oriented support assistants! This involves a permanent position at 100% and a temporary position at 100%. Both positions are available to start as agreed, and the temporary position extends until December 31, 2026.
Responsibilities
You are responsible for creating and following up on implementation plans, other social documentation, and other administrative tasks and areas of responsibility, such as scheduling, purchase orders, health, and safety, together with the user.
Together with your colleagues, you will carry out day-to-day and planned support interventions and activities with the user. You will support and motivate them in daily activities at home and during leisure time. It is part of the role to build trusting relationships with users and be a good role model.
You ensure that support interventions are based on the user's individual needs, promote independence and participation, and are carried out with respect for the user's integrity and self-determination. Your tasks include helping with daily chores, activities, personal hygiene, and medication. The work often involves working alone, and working hours are varied as we provide interventions during the day, evening, weekends, and night.
You drive development work forward together with colleagues according to established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. Collaborating with the user's network, other staff, and other partners is also an important part of the work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a high school diploma in either the Care and Nursing program with specialization in the program deepening disability or psychiatry, the Child and Youth program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work, or other equivalent education that the employer deems comparable.
To work in care and nursing, you must be at least 18 years old. It is important that you have the ability to treat people professionally based on their individual conditions and needs. As a person, you are self-reliant and stress-resistant with the individual in focus. You are empathetic, responsible, and have an easy time collaborating with others. You have good social skills and enjoy working in a flexible manner. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
A Class B driver's license is required.
Sufficient knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing is required for the work, including the ability to communicate with users, perform care documentation, and obtain medication delegation.
Please attach your CV and cover letter to your application.
