The Individual and Family department works every day to ensure that the citizens of Örnsköldsvik have a better everyday life. We are responsible for the social services' authority functions for children and adults in need of support and protection. Around our case workers, there are also managers, case supervisors, administrators, business developers, and other support functions where we work together to provide our municipal citizens with the right support at the right time.

We are looking for a Social Secretary/Case Worker for the Economic Assistance Unit.

Responsibilities

As a Social Secretary/Case Worker, you work with investigating and following up on the right to economic assistance, including support in the form of housing. You are an important part of creating conditions for individuals' self-sufficiency.

The work involves close cooperation – both internally and externally. You collaborate with, among others, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and healthcare. Here you will work both independently and together with engaged colleagues, with support from present management and case supervisors.

In the Welfare Administration, approximately 2,500 employees work. In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Approved documents are passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal record register are required. We appreciate language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

In our municipality, a number of positions are placed in security class, so security clearance may take place. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
