ABOUT THE STORE

Pingstkyrkan in Helsingborg, in collaboration with PMU (Pingstmissionens Utvecklingssamarbete), runs PMU Second Hand Helsingborg. The work is rooted in Christian values and is part of the activities of the Helsingborg Pentecostal Church. The purpose of the store is to generate a financial surplus for social and humanitarian efforts, both locally through the church's social work and internationally through development and humanitarian projects run by PMU and partly by the congregation.

Another part of our purpose is to actively make a difference for our environment. Second-hand is the environmentally smart choice when it comes to consumption. We also aim to provide employment for people outside the regular labor market by offering a space for people in various forms of work training.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The position is a temporary role as a Store Supervisor (100%) for the period of August 15 – December 15, 2026. As a supervisor, you will, together with the rest of the staff, mentor volunteers and individuals in various forms of work training and internships. The role of supervisor is very "hands-on," where you mentor and develop others through your own execution of the work.

You will be part of the daily operations of the store, which largely involves creating as high a throughput of donated goods as possible. The role also includes cash register duties, warehouse work, and picking up and delivering furniture.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who enjoys mentoring people and working in a retail environment with both preparation and customer service. A love for second-hand is a given. As a person, you are confident, results-oriented, and clear in your communication. Your social skills are very important, and we will base our decision on personal suitability. You have an open and representative demeanor and possess good ability to develop and mentor people based on their individual prerequisites. You should have experience in mentoring and enjoy providing good service, but you may also bring other valuable experience that can contribute to our operations. You are welcome to share our Christian faith and understand what it means to work in close collaboration with a church congregation.
