Your Assignment
As Deputy Unit Manager, you belong to the Signals Intelligence Division, which conducts signals surveillance in accordance with the Act on Signals Surveillance in Defence Intelligence Activities. The division delivers intelligence reports and other services to the agency's commissioners.
Your main responsibilities are to have operational responsibility for two of the unit's four operational areas and to develop these areas strategically in collaboration with the Unit Manager and employees.
In the role, collaboration with internal and external contacts is important, where you as the deputy manager are responsible for establishing and maintaining the right contact surfaces for the operations' needs.
You will also be involved in the unit's and office's other activities and act as a substitute when the Unit Manager is absent.
You report to the Unit Manager and have close cooperation with your counterparts within specific areas of responsibility. The nature of the position entails trust-based working hours and domestic and international business travel.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education in engineering/science, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience
- Work experience from a technical role
- Good computer skills
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- Technical development / experience of programming
- Work experience in a leadership role within technical development work
- Work experience in operational development
- Experience or knowledge of Reverse Engineering
- Experience or knowledge of databases and setting up database models
- Language skills in Russian

More Information
The workplace is located near Drottningholm, approx. 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security classification. Before employment, you will undergo a security clearance in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be mobilized in wartime.
