We are currently seeking an engaged and qualified Swedish teacher who wants to help shape the future of education. This is a substitute position starting in August 2026. IES Skellefteå, which opened its doors in 2019, offers outstanding bilingual education to approximately 450 students in grades F-9, as well as meaningful career opportunities for around 85 employees.

Job Description

The position is a full-time employment (substitute position) starting in August 2026. A probationary period of 6 months applies. Your duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching Swedish and Language Choice.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment for effective teaching and learning.
  • Maintain the school's positive ethos and core values, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Report to parents on students' development, progress, and achievements.
  • Mentoring students is included in this position.

Who are you?

To succeed in this role, we look for the following profile:

  • You have a Swedish teaching license in Swedish.
  • You have experience teaching this subject.
  • You have good knowledge of English.
  • You have a passion for teaching and motivating students to reach their goals.
  • You have the ability to create an inclusive learning environment for students.
  • You are enthusiastic, engaged, and a team player.
  • You have knowledge of and share the values and ethos of International English School Skellefteå.
