About the role

Our client, Schneider Electric, leads the digital transformation in energy management and automation and is now looking for a Service Engineer for the assignment at EcoDC in Falun and Borlänge. EcoDC is a Swedish player in sustainable data centers with operations in both Falun and Borlänge. In Falun, there is an established and high-tech facility focusing on advanced operations, automation, and energy efficiency, while Borlänge is developing into a large-scale data center campus for tomorrow's AI and cloud infrastructure.

In the role of Service Engineer, you work close to the technology with a focus on commissioning, service, testing, and optimization of building technical systems. You work customer-facing with digital service solutions that contribute to efficient and stable operations in some of Sweden's most advanced data environments. Schneider's customers range from municipalities and regions to private actors and industrial operations.

You will become part of a highly competent team of 7 people with strong cohesion and good atmosphere, where knowledge exchange between junior and senior colleagues is a natural part of everyday life. To give you the best possible start, you will receive thorough onboarding with internal training and introduction to Schneider's self-developed systems and working methods.

The role has a clear structure. You start with component tests and hardware to learn the products in their correct context. As you grow in the role, you take the step further towards software tests, programming, and greater drive in projects!

Responsibilities

As a Service Engineer, you work in the heart of the data halls commissioning, testing, and optimizing building technical systems. Schneider Electric delivers the whole package from data racks, cooling, electricity meters, and control products, where you adapt and fine-tune the environment according to the customer's needs. The focus is primarily on controlling indoor climate, cooling systems, energy, and heat to ensure stable and efficient operations.

Your main tasks:

• Component and functional testing of building technical systems
• Commissioning and testing of control systems for cooling, ventilation, heating, and electricity
• Troubleshooting and optimization of technical installations on-site
• Customer adaptation of climate control systems (e.g., chillers, sensors)
• Documentation and quality assurance of conducted tests and installations
• Light programming work in control systems

We are looking for you who

• Have at least a high school education in a technical area, preferably with a focus on electricity, or alternatively, work experience that we assess as equivalent
• Good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office suite
• A genuine technical interest, preferably within automation, electricity, networks, IT, or similar
• Speak and write fluently in Swedish as the tasks require it
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

It is an advantage if you have

• Experience of building automation from either education or previous work
• An interest in new challenges and global collaborations
