Fagersta Stainless is one of the world's leading manufacturers of stainless steel wire rod and drawn wire. Our headquarters and production are located in Fagersta, Sweden. In our rolling mill, approximately 50,000 tons of wire rod are produced annually, of which about 10,000 tons are further processed into drawn wire. About the Role

As a Project Manager within electrical power, automation, and IT, you have overall responsibility for the planning, execution, and follow-up of projects within your technical areas. You work through the entire project chain – from preliminary studies and technical investigations to commissioning and optimization – and ensure that the solutions meet technical requirements, schedules, budgets, and applicable safety regulations.

In this role, you lead and coordinate work between internal functions and external parties such as suppliers and contractors. You are responsible for driving the project forward in a structured manner, managing risks, and monitoring progress and results. The position also includes work with procurement, technical discussions, and ensuring that documentation and standards within electrical power, automation, and IT are kept up to date.

The tasks may vary over time and be adapted to the needs of the business, in accordance with the current collective agreement and in dialogue with your nearest manager.

About You

We are looking for you who have technical competence in electrical power, automation, or IT and who thrive in a role where you can combine technology with project management. You have the ability to handle multiple interfaces simultaneously and drive your work in a structured, solution-oriented manner with clear accountability.

You are analytical, have an easy time seeing the big picture, and can translate technical requirements into functional solutions in practice. To succeed in the role, you need to be communicative and feel confident collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
