We are looking for a Toolmaker to join a modern industrial company in Bankeryd. In this role, you will be responsible for the manufacturing, machining, and assembly of tools and fixtures, as well as ensuring that the tools maintain the correct function and quality for production. You will become an integral part of the production team, working to uphold high standards of precision, efficient workflow, and on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, and adjust tools and fixtures according to drawings and work orders.
• Programming and operation of CNC machines, manual machining (turning and milling), as well as assembly and fine-tuning of complex tools.
• Perform measurements and quality controls using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.), document results, and report deviations.
• Assemble and test-run tools in production equipment, making adjustments as necessary to ensure correct function and production efficiency.
• Perform minor repair and maintenance work on tools and fixtures, and maintain and organize the tool storage and workplace.
• Collaborate with production, design, and quality departments to optimize tool execution and solve technical challenges.
• Participate in continuous improvement work to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality and work routines.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Vocational education in workshop technology, toolmaking, or equivalent practical experience in tool manufacturing.
• Good experience in manual and machine machining (milling, turning, drilling, grinding) and familiarity with working from technical drawings.
• Experience with measurement and use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Ability to understand drawings, tolerances, and material properties, as well as performing troubleshooting and improvements on tool solutions.
• Good orderliness, structure, and ability to prioritize work under time pressure, along with clear documentation of work efforts.
• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, for internal communication and documentation.

Employment Terms and Application

The position is full-time and located during day shifts in Bankeryd. Employment terms are agreed upon individually – an initial probationary period or temporary assignment may apply depending on the nature of the assignment.
