MBF continues to grow and has an increased need within the Property Economists department. We are now looking for you, an economist who wants to take on customer responsibility within property economics.

Economist at MBF

In the role of property economist at MBF, you will be the contact person for a number of housing cooperatives and their boards. The tasks include both economic and legal issues, such as reviewing the latest monthly report together with the cooperative, assessing the cooperative's liquidity, discussing loan distribution, or making calculations on how the economy is affected by major renovations. In this role, you are also responsible for preparing budget proposals and annual reports for the housing cooperatives you serve.

During the spring, the annual accounts are finalized, where you are responsible for producing annual reports for the cooperatives. This is done in close collaboration with each cooperative and their auditors. During the period March–May, most of our customers hold their general meetings. As the customer manager, you often participate as the chairperson at these meetings, which entails some evening work during this specific period.

Education/Experience

To succeed and fit into the role, you should have a few years of experience in similar tasks involving independent budgeting and accounting. We prefer that you have an academic education in economics.

Since it is central to the role to build trust with your customers, it is vital that you are positive, responsible, and have the ability to build good relationships. In addition to being detail-oriented, you should be motivated by working at a high pace during certain periods and find it rewarding to act as a support and sounding board for customers in economic and legal matters.
