We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer within automation and software development for a project within the defense industry. The role involves working with specification, design, development, documentation, and testing of automation software in complex technical systems.

The environment is technically advanced, safety-critical, and structured. Great emphasis is placed on quality, traceability, and careful documentation. You will work in close collaboration with other engineers and technical specialists to ensure that the systems function correctly in all conceivable situations.

This is a role for you who wants to develop within advanced automation, real-time systems, and software development, where precision and holistic understanding are crucial.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze the functionality of complex real-time systems under development
• Design, develop, and test automation software (primarily PLC/structured text, as well as some Java/Python/C)
• Write and maintain design and test documentation
• Participate in reviews of software and technical documentation
• Work with system integration and verification
• Participate in commissioning and on-site testing

• Holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or Mechatronics
• Has at least 1 year of professional experience in a relevant area (e.g., automation, software, or systems development)
• Has experience working with real-time systems
• Has basic knowledge of PLC and automation systems
• Fluently speaks and writes Swedish and English

It is meritorious but not a requirement if you have:

• Experience commissioning systems in an industrial environment
• Completed national service or other military training

This is a consultancy assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday.
