About the Role

Our mission is to provide technical assistive devices, tailored to individual needs, to people with disabilities in the county via prescribers from Region Västernorrland and the municipalities. You will work in a team together with two assistive device consultants and two IT assistive device technicians. Through your different competencies, you will jointly contribute to finding the best possible solutions for the patient.

We are now looking for an assistive device consultant for the Consultant Unit in Sundsvall. The position is a permanent, full-time employment, with start date as agreed.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support to prescribers during the fitting and introduction of individually prescribed assistive devices in the area of communication and cognition.
• Inform about and conduct training on products in our assortment.
• Contribute specialist competence and act as expert support within the current product area.
• Develop and ensure functional requirements when procuring products.
• Participate in continuous further education, advanced training, and competence development within the field.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other professional groups to find the best possible solutions for the patient.
• Contribute to internal, cross-unit collaboration and development work within the Assistive Device Operations.

As a new employee, you will receive support from a mentor during your introduction.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed occupational therapist.
• Have at least 1 year of clinical work experience as a licensed occupational therapist.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Hold a valid B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you

• Have studied a master's degree in occupational therapy.
• Have experience in administrative work related to procurement and assortment.
• Have work experience in communication and cognition.
• Have good knowledge of Excel.
