About the Organization

Region Västernorrland is one of the largest employers in the county with approximately 6,500 employees. Together, we work to develop the region, healthcare, and dental care. The Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic is today one of the largest clinics in the country for the care of patients transferred under the Act on Forensic Psychiatric Care (LRV). We also have the mandate to care for particularly demanding patients under the Act on Psychiatric Compulsory Care (LPT). The clinic has 135 care beds, divided into ten wards; the tenth ward opened on March 2, 2026. Ward 99 is located in newly renovated premises at the clinic in Nacksta, where we have consolidated the entire operation during the spring of 2026 following an extension and renovation.

On Ward 99, we work to ensure that job satisfaction and camaraderie yield good results. We want everyone to feel at home with us, both staff and patients. We are now looking for a nurse for Ward 99; the position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date of August 17, 2026, or as agreed.

Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, it is important that you have a strong interest in people, as well as patience and the ability to empathize with others' situations.

In your profession, you will work with:

• Planning
• Evaluation
• Implementation of nursing measures
• Management of medication administration

You will also participate in risk assessments, care planning, and functional assessments. Within the Forensic Psychiatric Clinic, we work with contact person assignments where you, as a nurse, have nursing responsibility. We use a competence ladder to reward skilled employees.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed nurse
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you

• Have further education as a psychiatric nurse
