About the Department

We are looking for resident doctors (underläkare) for the Medicine Unit in Sollefteå. We are a small unit with close proximity and short decision-making paths. There are good opportunities for development, and we offer employment with the possibility of being involved in the development of the department. As a resident doctor with us, you will have the opportunity to work independently under supervision. You will be part of the patient-facing team and handle tasks such as regular ward work and primary on-call duties, both day and night, at the emergency department. Within Region Västernorrland, there are three local healthcare areas; south, west, and north, where local collaboration takes place within/among municipalities, primary care, and specialist care. Together, we work to create a cohesive care chain for the growing patient groups of chronic and multi-morbid patients. In Sollefteå, there is a wide range of leisure activities. We can offer everything from skiing in the winter to rafting trips on the beautiful Ångermanälven river in the summer.

We are now looking for two resident doctors for a six-month temporary position with the possibility of extension. The positions are full-time with start dates as agreed.

Responsibilities

We offer you a varied and stimulating job as a resident doctor with a focus on good treatment of patients and relatives. The role of resident doctor involves standard resident duties as well as the possibility of working as primary on-call during day and night shifts. The work is independent but with supervision from experienced colleagues. The position as a resident doctor is a great opportunity for you who want to grow and develop in your medical role; we offer a good work environment with competent and positive colleagues with good knowledge and experience.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed resident doctor awaiting possible specialty training (ST)
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

• Have experience working on a ward and in the emergency department
