About the Department

Are you a licensed physician seeking a Specialty Training (ST) position in Internal Medicine? Do you have an interest in rural medicine, person-centered approaches, and "Near Care" (Nära Vård)? Then we might be the right place for you!

The Medical Department at Sollefteå Hospital is a smaller unit characterized by proximity and short decision-making paths. Our operational area actively works on the transition towards "Near Care" in collaboration with our municipalities and primary healthcare.

There are excellent opportunities for development, and we offer a training position with the possibility to influence the structure of the education. We provide a study and work environment that offers good conditions for both competence development according to the description of goals and a sense of belonging. For recovery and balance in leisure time, there are facilities for wellness and training at the region's gym, located on the hospital grounds.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date as agreed.

Responsibilities

As a Specialty Training (ST) doctor, you work both independently and under supervision. The work setup offers variation between the emergency department, inpatient wards, and outpatient clinics. Responsibilities include, among other things:

• Conducting ward rounds
• Consultations
• Admissions and discharges
• Primary on-call responsibility at the emergency department during both day and on-call hours
• Outpatient work with your own booked clinic sessions under supervision

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed physician
• Have a valid B-class driver's license

It is an advantage if you

• Have work experience in research or teaching
• Have work experience from person-centered approaches and "Near Care" (Nära Vård)
