Are you interested in risk control, data analysis, and model validation? Do you enjoy working with large datasets, analyzing complex information, and turning insights into clear conclusions? This role might be for you.
We are currently seeking a Risk Officer for a fixed-term contract of approximately one year. Here you will find a varied role with broad contact areas across the entire bank, offering the opportunity to work on overarching risk-related issues with a special focus on analysis, data management, and model validation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Risk Officer, you will work within the Risk Control function, a central and independent function responsible for independent control, analysis, and monitoring of Norion Bank's risk management. The function reports regularly to management and the board, proposes risk-mitigating measures when necessary, and is involved in the bank's internal capital and liquidity assessment process.
In this role, you will identify and analyze risks and assess how the bank manages them. You will also contribute to making risks visible and spreading knowledge about risk management to other parts of the organization.
Your primary focus will be on data analysis, data management, and model validation, primarily related to credit risk but also other risks to which the bank is exposed. The work also includes ongoing risk analyses, audits, as well as the presentation and reporting of conclusions based on these.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control risk management in operations,
- Identify and analyze various risks, primarily credit risk and other financial risks,
- Explain changes in trends and the development of KRIs through in-depth analyses,
- Validate models, primarily within the credit risk area but also in other risk areas,
- Analyze model results, assumptions, data quality, and model performance,
- Regularly produce and develop internal risk reporting,
- Present analyses, conclusions, and improvement recommendations,
- Provide support to operations in the development of risk management and other risk-related issues.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for you who have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, finance, statistics, mathematics, or another relevant field. A couple of years of experience in similar work within the financial industry, preferably with a connection to risk control, credit risk, model validation, data analysis, or data management, is advantageous.
To thrive and succeed in this role, you have strong analytical skills and are accustomed to working systematically with collecting, processing, quality-assuring, and analyzing large amounts of data. You have an interest in models and can transform analysis into clear conclusions that you communicate pedagogically to different target groups. As a person, you are responsible, driven, and meticulous. You plan and structure your work independently, while also enjoying collaboration and contributing to the team.
The position is located at our headquarters in Gothenburg and is a full-time fixed-term contract starting in August or as agreed.
