Within the Energy & Media department, you work with technology and mechanics in various systems, ensuring our operations in a combined craft and high-tech production environment. We are now looking for you, an operations technician with boiler expertise.

Your daily life with us

Norrmejerier is investing in continued and future stable production through the efficiency and development of our facility. The Media department is responsible for the operation and optimization of boilers, cooling systems, compressed air systems, ventilation systems, and water supply.

As an Operations Technician, you will have an important role where you will:

• handle technical issues regarding control and monitoring equipment for energy and media.
• ensure operation and handle troubleshooting, repair, new installations, and maintenance work, as well as monitor and document operations in our Desigo system.
• actively participate in our optimization and improvement work to ensure efficient, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly production.
• work closely in a team with our maintenance technicians, automation and production technicians, as well as operators in our departments, and report to the Energy & Media Manager.

We are looking for you

We believe you are an experienced operations technician who thrives in a varied and production-oriented role. You have a technical interest, which gives you a natural aptitude for seeing technical solutions, understanding the parts within the whole, and wanting to improve and optimize processes and equipment. You are structured and analytical, driven and results-oriented, all to achieve set goals. You handle and convey information simply and understandably, both verbally and in writing, in both Swedish and English, both internally and externally.

You have:

• Several years of experience in media, operations, and maintenance within process, food, or industrial production.
• Technical upper secondary education, preferably as an operations technician with a focus on process, mechanics, or automation.
• At least 5 years of documented experience in the daily operation and maintenance of boilers for steam production.
• Meritorious: training, certifications, or courses for Boiler Operator or Pressurized Equipment according to AFS 2023:11 (formerly AFS 2006:4).
• Also meritorious is certification in cooling and compressed air systems, as well as our IFS and Desigo systems.

Permanent full-time position located in Umeå. On-call duty is included. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
