Vattenfall Hydropower is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and approximately 300 dams in the Nordic region. We have approximately 580 employees in Sweden and Finland, with our headquarters in Luleå. The renewable electricity production from hydropower is a prerequisite for creating a climate-smart society, where we play a crucial role as an enabler for future sustainable energy systems. Our production accounts for approximately 25 percent of Sweden's total electricity demand. To deliver high availability in our production, we must constantly challenge ourselves, develop our working methods, and leverage digital opportunities.
Vattenfall Hydropower is looking for more Assembly Leaders!
In close collaboration with project managers, your assembly team, and staff at our hydropower facilities, you will work to ensure the safe and efficient execution of assembly work on-site. You ensure that the work is carried out with high technical expertise in a manner that is reassuring for the environment and working conditions, in accordance with established requirements. Your assembly team typically consists of both own staff and subcontractors.
The work is varied, and you are offered room for initiative and good opportunities to influence how we maintain and develop our facilities at a time when hydropower is a very important part of Sweden's total electricity mix. You will travel for work and be greeted by majestic hydropower plants and knowledgeable colleagues across the country.
Here are examples of your tasks and areas of responsibility:
- Preparation and planning for upcoming assembly work
- On-site leadership: lead and distribute assembly work and prepare assignments based on time consumption, resource needs, side activities, and schedules
- Report, execute, and provide documentation for change and additional work
- Ongoing coordination regarding issues such as safety, economy, and quality
- Tracking of worked hours, time reporting, and invoicing for permanent and temporary staff
- Problem-solving related to mechanical, plant-specific, and/or workshop-bound tasks.
Requirements
We are looking for you who have several years of professional experience and good experience leading larger assembly works at hydropower plants, with a special focus on generators. You have a high school education in mechanics, mechanical engineering, or equivalent, or you have acquired equivalent competence through professional experience.
You thrive in a leadership role where you take responsibility and have the opportunity to influence. You are accustomed to working on-site with safety as the highest priority, and you collaborate with your team to find well-thought-out solutions from different perspectives.
To succeed in the role of Assembly Leader, we believe you are solution-oriented, receptive, and good at creating engagement and team spirit. You communicate clearly and openly and have a present leadership style.
You have good IT skills and experience with system support for, for example, planning and follow-up. You express yourself well in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing. A B-class driver's license is required, and you are positive about traveling and overnight stays for work.
Location is flexible
For example, Storuman, Bispgården, Jokkmokk, Trollhättan, Älvkarleby - we can also apply home stationing and placement at other locations in Sweden where Vattenfall Hydropower is established.
