About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will become safer and more secure for everyone. We are the agency responsible for prisons, probation, remand prisons, and client transport.

Job Description

Within the Prison and Probation Service's IT operations, we do a lot of in-house development where all development takes place in a Microsoft environment and using agile methods. We work in teams and are responsible for providing the operations with digitalized solutions that simplify and streamline their daily work.
We try to use new technologies where possible, but we also work extensively with the maintenance of our existing solutions. As a System Developer at the Prison and Probation Service, you will work in an object-oriented environment involving system development of our core and support systems. We work with .NET and C#, and we will give you the opportunity to develop and learn these languages on the job. Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic degree in a relevant field, such as System Science, Data Engineering, University College Engineer, Civil Engineer, or similar, or alternatively other education combined with experience that the Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
- Experience working with system development in projects, assignments, or within administration
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as Bootstrap, Asp.NET, MVC, Angular, Blazor, or similar
- Experience with agile working methods
- Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
- Good knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as .NET and C#
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
The following is also meritorious:
- Experience as a System Developer within the Prison and Probation Service
- Experience with Microsoft development tools (e.g., VS and/or Azure DevOps)
- Experience working in system development teams using the agile Scrum method
- Experience with Continuous Delivery
- Experience with DevOps
