Your workplace

The Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation in Värmland is a county-wide operation with clinics in Karlstad, Arvika, Torsby, and Kristinehamn. Here you will find interesting and varied work where you work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. You will have access to professional support and supervision. A strength of our workplace is that we are several speech therapists with different experiences. There is always someone to consult and we are keen to support each other in the work. At the Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation, we work with cross-professional and specialized assessment and treatment interventions. This is directed at children and young people with long-term cognitive and/or neuropsychiatric as well as motor impairments, which significantly affect development and daily functioning.

We are many different professions working together in teams with rehabilitation throughout the county. We are, among others, counselors, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, special educators, and doctors.

Your responsibilities

We work with children and young people who need rehabilitation. There is a lot of new evidence in the field of rehabilitation and we are proud that we keep up well with this development. Discussions about common professional and rehabilitation-relevant questions are constantly ongoing within and across professional boundaries. A speech therapist is an important competence in the team around the patient, and you work with assessment, direct or indirect treatment of communication, speech and language disorders, as well as eating and swallowing problems.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed speech therapist, confident in your professional role, and interested in development work based on your profession. Experience from rehabilitation or similar operations, as well as work with children and young people, is seen as meritorious.

Collaboration is key for us, both within and outside the operation, which makes your collaboration skills important. You should also see opportunities in changes and be able to adapt to changed circumstances.

Travel may occur in the position, which means a B driver's license is required. In these cases, a leased car is available.
