Vingåker Care and Social Services is organizationally placed under the Social Services Administration. Here, driven and engaged employees work to create a meaningful everyday life for our individuals. The disability support services consist of day activities, group homes, social psychiatry, personal assistance, and children's activities.

The elderly care services consist of our 5 home care groups, special housing with somatic wards, dementia wards, short-term housing, and day activities.

We work closely together – with high competence, engagement, and a common goal: to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for our care recipients.

Job Responsibilities

Are you looking for a summer job that is meaningful, where you can truly make a difference and develop at the same time? Do you also want to fill your summer with fun activities and meetings while creating memories for life? Then you have the chance with us. We are looking for you who want to work with people in different life situations.

The vacation period is between weeks 25–34.

A summer job with us means you will gain useful work experience and the opportunity to make new contacts. Regardless of which department you wish to work in, you will work closely with people who need support and help in their daily lives in various ways. You will support them in becoming as independent as possible in their daily lives.

With us, you will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues.

Disability Support

As an employee within disability support, you will work with varied tasks, often in everyday situations in the individuals' homes, in day activities, or in supported housing. You will provide support and service based on individual needs. This can involve personal care, help during meals, support, and common household chores such as cleaning and laundry. Additionally, there is motivation and implementation of social and cultural activities around and together with the individual.

Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, night, on-call night, and weekends.

Elderly Care

Working within elderly care, whether in home care or in special housing, means working closely with people and helping them in their daily lives. You meet the individuals directly in their homes and need to show dignity and respect for being in their residence. We work based on individual needs and provide care, support, and service. Our mission is to provide good service by activating, supporting, creating social context, and providing good care.

Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekends.

Qualifications

To work as a summer substitute with us, you must be at least 18 years old. We are looking for you who are genuinely interested in working with people! You need to be responsible and engaged as the work involves qualified care that meets the individual's needs.

We prefer that you have education within care and social services or child and youth activities. As a person, you are secure and reliable, have a good manner of dealing with others, and find it easy to collaborate with others.

Even if you are currently studying, have experience from care and social services, or are interested in working with people, you are welcome to apply. To find the right people, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability and value you who are self-reliant, helpful, and enjoy working with people.

A driver's license is meritorious and in some units also a requirement.
