Our Operations

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology diagnoses and treats diseases and conditions affecting the ears, nose, sinuses, oral cavity, upper airways, as well as hearing and balance. We are a surgical clinic with both planned and emergency operations, and we run our own emergency clinic. The surgery includes both basic ENT surgery and more extensive tumor surgery, where we have broad collaboration with several other surgical specialties. The clinic includes an inpatient ward with 12 beds and a significant day-surgery operation.

We offer care to patients from seven regions in Central Sweden and national highly specialized care in certain areas to patients from all over Sweden. The clinic also conducts extensive research and teaching.

Your Role

The position involves work on our care ward, our various clinics, and in surgery. You will participate in primary on-call duties, both day and night shifts. Experienced specialists are available as support both in daily work and during on-call service. The role also includes supervising medical students and general practitioners during their postgraduate training, so good pedagogical skills and an interest in teaching are a plus.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed physician with a desire to become a competent ENT specialist. You also have an interest in research and development work. Great importance is placed on personal qualities such as responsibility, initiative, and teamwork. Interviews and employment take place continuously throughout the advertising period.
