About the Role

We are looking for a substitute licensed psychologist to work in preschools and schools in Trollhättan Municipality. You will be employed and have your office at a centrally organized resource unit under Child and Student Support. Your manager is the Unit Manager for Child and Student Support.

The unit includes psychologists, speech therapists, special education teachers, social pedagogues, coordinators for newly arrived students, and coordinators for adapted primary education. In total, we have six positions as school psychologists. You will be part of a group of colleagues who support each other and actively care for well-being and enjoyment at work. You have access to regular supervision, both internally and externally, and are offered flexible work that can be developed based on your own interests, competence, and experience. A psychological leadership system is established and implemented as support in the work. The group includes a PLA (Psychological Leadership Responsible) who ensures the quality of the psychologists' assignments.

Our premises are located within a comfortable walking distance from the Transport Center.

Responsibilities

You will work with child and student health teams in preschools and schools within Trollhättan Municipality. The teams and student health work are led by the principal of the preschool and school. As a school psychologist, you work at the organizational, group, and individual levels, primarily focusing on preventive and health-promoting measures. Remedial measures are also carried out based on clear questions.

In practice, this means that as a psychologist, you contribute to translating psychological knowledge into the practical daily life of preschools and schools. As a school psychologist, you are part of a professional group together with other school psychologists who meet regularly. In Trollhättan Municipality, exciting development work is underway to make preschools and schools more equal, and as part of this, there is a current focus on developing child and student health work across the city.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed psychologist. Since the work requires a good ability to structure and define tasks, as well as the ability to collaborate with many different professions, we place great emphasis on life experience and personal qualities. A driver's license is desirable as the work involves moving between different workplaces.
