We are looking for nurses with hospital experience for the Neuro-Intermediate Care Unit (NIMA). Here, both neurosurgical and general intermediate care patients are treated, which provides a variety of experiences and opportunities for specialized competence in neurosurgery. Intermediate care is an elevated level of care where our main task is to monitor and support failing vital functions.

As a nurse, you need to have good knowledge of breathing, circulation, and monitoring. We help you gain these skills through a long introduction that includes both clinical and theoretical training. We are looking for you who want a challenge and find advanced care exciting. As a nurse, you are responsible for only three patients together with a nursing assistant. Our patients are continuously monitored with ECG, saturation, pulse, arterial blood pressure, intracranial pressure, and neurological checks. Patients can also be treated with BiPAP and CPAP, but not invasive ventilation. The pace varies, which means natural periods of recovery, contributing to a good work environment.

Education is a highly prioritized part of our operations, which we always ensure takes place. We have regular training every year so that you can maintain and continue to increase your knowledge. There is also the opportunity to take external courses within our specialties. If you want to work with more advanced care as a general nurse, this is right for you.

The unit is located at the top of the H-building and has six care beds. We are a small staff group and constantly work on development, having together created a pleasant and stimulating workplace where everyone is given the opportunity to develop and contribute with their different experiences and ideas. We are looking for colleagues who contribute an interest in emergency care, neurosurgery, and advanced nursing, and a strong desire to be a competent and professional nurse in intermediate care.

In addition to usual nursing tasks, the work includes monitoring severely ill patients, supporting vital functions, and the entire perioperative care chain for neurosurgical patients. As a nurse, you are part of the team around the patients together with nursing assistants, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, physiotherapists, and responsible physicians.

Working hours can be scheduled during both day and night, as well as Sundays and holidays. We work with individual schedule planning.

We are looking for you who have at least one year of experience as a licensed nurse. You should have an interest in advanced care and emergency medicine.
