We are looking for you who want to help create the future of child and adolescent psychiatry!
Your workplace
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) is the region's specialist resource for children and young people with severe mental illness. Together with other actors within the region, we have the mandate to offer equal, need-based, and cost-effective care for children, young people, and their families. Collaboration is a major and important part of our work.
The operations consist of inpatient care, 24-hour ward 48, as well as day care and visits within outpatient care at clinic 5 – the eating disorders unit and the Eating Support Team (ÄST). At all levels, nutritional treatment is provided in close cooperation with the various multidisciplinary teams in the form of individual dietary treatment and counseling.
We look forward to creating seamless care for our patients with various eating disorder diagnoses, where you as a dietitian will contribute your expert knowledge to both families and our staff team.
We offer you:
- A collegial network: Dietitians working within child medicine, child habilitation, and child psychiatry meet in a children's team once a month for collegial exchange.
- Close cooperation with the Center for Eating Disorders and the established dietitian there.
- Competence development based on your needs, with special priority given to the diagnoses and patient groups you encounter as a dietitian within BUP.
- Interesting work together with other professions at BUP.
- Opportunities for competence development and development work within our internal network for dietitians.
- A health-promoting workplace, fitness allowance, and fitness hour.
- A well-planned introduction with mentorship from a dietitian colleague.

Your responsibilities
As a dietitian in BUP's eating disorder care, you work across care levels in multidisciplinary teams. You participate in the unit's rounds and treatment conferences, where the teams together design a joint treatment plan for the patients. The overarching treatment approach consists of family-based treatment in three phases following the Maudsley model for the treatment of eating disorders.
The patient group consists of young people with eating disorders, sometimes in combination with other diagnoses. The levels of care include 24-hour inpatient care as well as day care and visits within outpatient care. At all levels, nutritional treatment is provided in close cooperation with the various multidisciplinary teams in the form of individual dietary treatment and counseling.
Within inpatient care, you support staff in diet-related questions and in the formulation of meal lists, with the primary aim of reversing starvation and preparing the patient for continued eating disorder treatment by strengthening diet-related parental capacity.
Within day care, you support staff in formulating meal lists and act as a support to the patient and relatives when needed. Within outpatient care, you have individual or coordinated visits together with therapists in other professional roles and provide nutritional treatment with young people and parents.
Organizationally, you work to create structure and uniform approaches across care levels regarding issues related to diet and nutrition.
Your knowledge and competencies
We are looking for you who are a registered dietitian with an interest in children and young people with psychiatric issues. It is meritorious if you have experience working with children and young people as well as their parents. Previous experience in psychiatry and eating disorder issues is also meritorious.
As a person, we see that you have an easy time communicating in a clear and concrete way and contribute to creating and maintaining structure. You are flexible and can adapt to different situations and needs. You want to work in a team and find it easy to collaborate with other professional roles. Your ability to create clarity and structure is an important part of achieving common goals. We place great emphasis on good collaboration skills and personal qualities.
Welcome to submit your application; interviews are conducted continuously.
