ABOUT THE POSITION

At Assistanslotsen, we are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant at 50–60% for our client in Bollnäs. We are currently looking for two new employees for permanent positions.

The working hours are scheduled as follows:

• 24-hour shifts: 08:00–08:00.

• For the right assistant, there is an opportunity for dialogue regarding working split shifts instead, i.e., 08:00–20:00 and 20:00–08:00.

Start date is July 1st, and an introduction must be completed before this date.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a 34-year-old man with a great interest in nature, fishing, and gaming. He also gladly invites friends home for dinner and board games. Our client needs your help as an assistant in his daily life as he has a chronic congenital muscle disease. He lives in his own apartment and communicates and eats/drinks independently.

Duties include:

• Support with daily routines, such as household chores.

• Help with personal hygiene and mobility.

• Supervision during the use of BIPAP (breathing mask) during sleep.

The client uses the following assistive devices: Electric wheelchair, manual wheelchair, shower chair, and lifting equipment for mobility.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for you who are passionate about working with people and can analyze the needs of other individuals. Furthermore, you should be receptive, proactive, solution-focused, and engaged. We would prefer that you are a man between 25–45 years old who is calm and confident in yourself, as personal suitability is highly valued. It is a big plus if you share the client's interest in nature and fishing.

REQUIREMENTS

• Very good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written).

• Category B driver's license for a manual transmission car.

• Not allergic to dogs (there is a small dog in the home).

MERITS

• Experience as a personal assistant or other care experience.

• Care education or equivalent.

Employment level: 2 permanent positions at 50–60%.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

To be employed by us at Assistanslotsen, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting an employment with us is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID and/or submit a certificate of personal status (personbevis) as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the certificate of personal status from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present a certificate of no criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply meaning that the register check will include both certificates from the criminal record register and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so the order should be placed well in advance.
