Our workplace is located at Fyrisborgsgatan 1, from where we conduct home visits. On the same floor, you will find all licensed staff from the Social Care Board, which creates excellent conditions for close collaboration. The shared premises offer unique opportunities for contact, experience sharing, and development work, both within and between different professions.
Proximity to colleagues facilitates daily work and makes it easy to meet in professional groups, interprofessional teams, and various forums for joint development and training.
Working hours are weekdays 07:30–16:00. We work with trust-based flexible hours.
Job Description
As an Occupational Therapist with us, you are responsible for investigation, assessment, and treatment within your area of expertise. You conduct individual activity assessments and analyze how environmental factors affect the patient's daily life and functional capacity.
A central part of your work is supporting the patient's activity capacity by adapting both activities and the environment. This is done, among other things, through testing and prescribing both physical and cognitive aids.
You actively participate in the discharge process from inpatient care and work preventively, to maintain activity, and to increase activity to contribute to improved health and quality of life for our patients.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with physiotherapists and nurses, where you together form an important team around the patient.
The role also includes supervising and instructing patients, relatives, nursing staff, and students.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Are a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Have a valid B-class driver's license
- Have good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
- Experience within municipal healthcare is considered an advantage.
We are looking for someone who can work independently and has the courage to act according to your own convictions in your professional role. You take responsibility for your tasks, are confident in your assessments, and can drive your work forward. At the same time, you are proactive; you initiate activities and work purposefully to achieve results in patient care. Since the work involves close collaboration with others, it is important that you have good teamwork skills, work well with other people, relate to them in a listening and flexible manner, and communicate and resolve situations constructively. We also look for you to have a well-developed empathetic ability to put yourself in the shoes of patients and relatives without taking over their feelings, which is crucial in meeting our patients in home care.
