About the RoleDo you want to work with automation software in a technically advanced environment where systems are used on board marine vessels? In this role, you will be involved throughout the entire chain, from requirements and design to development, testing, and commissioning. You will familiarize yourself with how the vessel systems function and contribute to developing robust software that works in a complex and quality-assured reality.
You will become an important part of the work to develop and further develop software solutions where documentation, review, and careful testing are a natural part of the delivery. The role suits you who thrive close to the technology, like understanding the big picture, and want to work with solutions that place high demands on structure, collaboration, and precision. This is an exciting opportunity for you who want to combine automation, software development, and work in an advanced marine technology environment.
Responsibilities- You familiarize yourself with the functionality of the vessel systems being developed and translate needs into clear technical solutions.
- You work with requirements, design, development, and maintenance of automation software.
- You create and update design and test documentation related to the software.
- You participate in reviews of both software and documentation to ensure quality and traceability.
- You perform integration and testing of software in close collaboration with other competencies.
- You are involved in the commissioning of software on board marine vessels.
- Experience in the design, development, and testing of software.
- At least 4 years of experience in similar roles.
- University education in an automation-related field.
- Knowledge of modern standards, principles, and best practices for software development.
- Proficiency in Structured Text or similar programming languages.
- Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship is not accepted).
- You find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships in technical teams.
