Responsibilities

As an Automation Engineer, you work in customer projects from start to finish, accompanying the project from the first customer contact to final delivery and commissioning. In this role, you hold a central position in the projects and are responsible for planning, driving, and following up on the work.

You conduct customer meetings and perform needs analyses to develop solutions based on the customer's operations. A key part of the job is creating functional descriptions and project documentation, for example in Excel and Word, which serve as the basis for programming in PLC and SCADA systems.

You are responsible for the projects and ongoing communication with the customer, while also contacting subcontractors, ordering hardware, and monitoring the project budget and schedule. The role involves significant personal responsibility where you plan your projects and ensure that the work progresses according to the set plan.

Most of the work takes place from the office, but you will also be at the customer's site approximately 10–20% of the time, for example during meetings and commissioning. Travel may be required.

In the projects, you work solution-oriented and close to the customer to develop and implement efficient automation solutions, being involved throughout the entire process – from idea to finished solution.

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Experience with PLC systems
• Experience with HMI solutions
• Experience in project work or project management
• Experience working with technical drawings, such as electrical diagrams, is an advantage
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
