Our client is now looking for a Financial Project Manager for a global company in the energy sector, where you will work with service and aftermarket projects in a dynamic and developmental environment.

About the role

Professionals Nord is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Financial Project Manager. Our client is a global technology conglomerate and a leading player in power generation and advanced industrial technology.

The position involves a consultancy assignment via Professionals Nord for the first 12 months, where you will be employed by us and work as a consultant for our client. The goal is a continued direct employment with our client after the consultancy period, provided that all parties are satisfied and the collaboration works well.

About the position

In the role of Financial Project Manager, you are responsible for the commercial and financial aspects of several parallel service and aftermarket projects. You work closely with project management and other internal functions to ensure good financial control, high quality, and efficient processes throughout the entire project lifecycle. The role involves many interfaces both nationally and internationally, making you an important part of the business and the success of the projects. You will work in a flexible and collaborative environment where you have the opportunity to develop within both project management and financial follow-up.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Be responsible for commercial and financial issues in the projects, such as accounting, tax, legal, and currency management
• Follow up and optimize the projects' economic results, e.g., by working with cash flow, balance sheet items, and financing solutions
• Ensure correct documentation and data quality during project execution
• Handle invoicing and financial guarantees
• Ensure compliance with IFRS15, local accounting principles, and internal control requirements
• Support project managers in risk assessments, economic analyses, and work on identifying cost savings and minimizing financial risks

International business travel may occur in the role.

We are looking for you who:

• Have a relevant university or college degree in economics
• Have good analytical skills and work in a structured manner
• Are communicative and thrive with many interfaces
• Have very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Meritorious:

• Experience working in SAP
• Experience with Power BI
