We are looking for a Cybersecurity Expert for the IT Security Unit in Norrköping
The Swedish Migration Agency is undergoing extensive change work focusing on digitalization and the development of more efficient working methods and processes. This places high demands on secure, accessible, and stable IT – and now we are looking for you who want to help strengthen the agency's cybersecurity capabilities.

What you will work with in cybersecurity
The work within IT and cybersecurity is broad and varied. As an employee at the IT Security Unit, you will over time work with several parts of the agency's cybersecurity work.
You will become a shared competence resource within the unit and work closely with the operations to analyze needs, identify risks, and recommend technical security solutions and other relevant security measures.
In the role, you will among other things:
- Analyze and map needs from a cybersecurity perspective
- Create and conduct cybersecurity training
- Participate in work with permissions and access to systems
- Analyze issues related to cybersecurity and propose solutions
- Conduct in-depth analyses of adversarial cyber threats and propose long-term countermeasures
- Contribute to the development of the agency's cybersecurity work
- Analyze legal requirements and participate in the work of translating these into solutions, working methods, and organization
To succeed in the role, we believe you have
For the role of Cybersecurity Expert, we are looking for you who have the ability to see the big picture and understand the broader perspective. You have a good technical understanding of IT security and keep yourself updated in the field through environmental monitoring and continuous competence development.
You collaborate well with others, communicate clearly, and contribute to constructive solutions even in complex issues. The role also requires that you take responsibility for your tasks and independently drive the work forward.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where good teamwork skills, responsibility, and good judgment in complex technical environments are central.
We are looking for you who have
- An academic education in IT infrastructure, IT security, IT project management, systems science, or information technology, or alternatively other education combined with experience that the Swedish Migration Agency deems relevant
- Several years of professional experience in cyber or IT security
- Knowledge of IT architecture and security solutions
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
- Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you have
- Experience with log monitoring
- Relevant certification in the field, such as CISSP or similar
- Experience with endpoint protection, IPS/IDS functions, vulnerability scanning, and scripting languages
- Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002
Information
The position is security classified and requires a security investigation with a passed result according to the Security Protection Act. Swedish citizenship is required for the position.
Employment type: Permanent employment with a 6-month probation period
Working hours: Office hours with the possibility of remote work as agreed
Salary: Individual salary setting
Location: Norrköping or Linköping
