What we offer

The Child and Adolescent Clinic in Norrköping is a modern and efficient clinic with well-functioning processes. We provide care within most subspecialties and have a close collaboration with the University Hospital in Linköping. We offer emergency care, neonatology from gestational week 29, day care, advanced home care, and inpatient care. In the catchment area of Norrköping, there are approximately 40,000 children, and there are approximately 2,300 births annually.

In Norrköping, children and adolescents aged 0–18 are cared for in all pediatric fields, except for pediatric oncology and neonatal intensive care, which are performed in Linköping. The ward also treats children for surgical, orthopedic, and ENT diseases. Development work is a high priority at our clinic, and there are research-active physicians. Many different professional groups work together with the goal of providing the best possible care for children and adolescents.

Our operations have received modern facilities for the pediatric emergency department and the neonatal ward, while renovation of the general pediatric ward and outpatient care is ongoing.

Job Description

We offer a position as a specialist physician/consultant in child and adolescent medicine. The work involves tasks on the ward, in the emergency department, and in outpatient care. The clinical work is based on care teams, meaning different professional categories jointly responsible for different patient groups. On-call duties are available with two lines in Norrköping.

About You

For the current position, a Swedish medical license and specialist competence in child and adolescent medicine are required.

As a person, you are easy to communicate with and have good teamwork skills. You can handle acute situations in a structured way and juggle multiple tasks. Your positive and professional attitude ensures that the patient's best interest is always in focus. It is important that you enjoy on-call work. Patient safety and quality in work are important to you, and continuous development is seen as a natural part of daily work.
