Your responsibilities

We are looking for you who are passionate about providing person-centered care and want to contribute to a meaningful daily life for our residents. If you have experience in dementia care and are driven by seeing each individual's unique needs, you might be the right person for us.

Your work is an important piece of the puzzle in creating a meaningful existence with a focus on health and well-being. By working with IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center), a salutogenic approach, and national values, you highlight and strengthen the individual's own abilities.

As a nurse assistant/care assistant with us, you have a varied role where you are responsible for both nursing and social tasks. You help with everything from transfers and personal hygiene to household chores and medical interventions.

As a contact person, you plan the days for several residents based on their specific needs and wishes. You have close contact with relatives, participate in welcome conversations, and work on drawing up and revising implementation plans. You also collaborate with other actors to ensure the best possible care.

A large part of your work is planning and implementing activities that promote well-being. We believe that creativity and engagement make every day special for our residents, and only imagination sets the limits! We have access to a bus for excursions, and besides that, we engage in everything from painting and music to cooking and gardening. Our new orangery offers a lovely place for both residents and employees to enjoy the greenery.

Your workplace

Valthornsgatan is located close to nature in the district of Ullstämma. The residence has three pavilions with a total of 36 places, of which 24 apartments are for people with dementia and 12 places are focused on psychiatry.

You will mainly belong to one of our dementia departments, although the work is characterized by a flexible working method between the departments.

We actively work with activities for our residents and have access to a minibus that enables excursions. At our facility, the meal is also an important part of the day, and we always offer homemade food from scratch.

We have also started working with new digital work tools that create new possibilities in daily work.

To create a calm and clear working day for everyone, we have developed a structured working method where we distribute tasks across our shifts. We want you to be happy with your working hours, and you have the opportunity to request the shifts you want to work, so we try to adapt the schedule to your and the operation's needs.

Here, we value a good work environment and have clear "rules of the game" that we have developed together. We have regular meetings in our work environment group every month. In addition, there is a separate collaboration council where only employees can meet to raise important issues. There is close cooperation between the manager, coordinator, and employees, and we always have a strong focus on providing the best possible care. For you as an employee, there are great opportunities to develop and take on responsibility roles as a representative.

Your main employment is at Valthornsgatan, but if necessary, you may also work at the care home on Järdalavägen. Our close collaboration enables close contact with several colleagues and cross-functional work.

You who apply

We are looking for you who have a completed upper secondary education combined with experience in care and support. We consider it an advantage if you are trained as a nurse assistant. It is important that you have knowledge of dementia diseases. It is a big plus if you have experience with the working method IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center) and a salutogenic approach.

Since you will have much contact with our residents and also work with documentation, you need to be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You are also expected to be familiar with using digital tools in your work. It is an advantage if you have experience documenting in medical record systems.

As we are a culture-profiled residence, we appreciate if you have an interest in cultural activities. We make many excursions, so it is an advantage if you have a B driver's license and can cycle.

We are looking for three colleagues who are sensitive and flexible in their communication and who can build good relationships with both residents and colleagues. We see that you are self-reliant, take responsibility for your tasks, and effectively drive the work forward. Your ability to be clear in your communication and ensure that messages get through is also very valuable to us.

It is important that you have good empathetic skills, which means you can put yourself in others' situations and perspectives. Your ability to cooperate, listen, and communicate is crucial for us to together create a pleasant work environment and a secure everyday life for our residents.
