The Role of Nursing Assistant, Care Assistant, and Aide with us

In Kungsbacka, we believe everyone should be able to live life to the fullest. For us in the home care service, this means providing care and support based on approved needs and the individual's implementation plan, with sensitivity and great commitment. This means we have a strong focus on those we serve, while working together and closely with each other.

As care staff with us, you will meet people with different needs and work in their homes. It is a free and varied job where you are part of a professional work group. No two days are alike, and the work is stimulating and never boring. We work with digital systems, such as sign-off lists, work planning, and documentation, which employees access via work mobiles.

Your work schedule will include both day and evening shifts, as well as every other weekend. There is also the possibility of permanent weekend work.

Your Profile

You are a person who enjoys working with people. You contribute to the experience of safety through reliable and professional interaction. You are comfortable handling technical solutions in daily work and have the ability to create participation in the daily lives of those we serve. As a person, you thrive working independently, can adapt to changed circumstances, and see opportunities in everyday life. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for you who:

• are 18 years or older
• hold a B driving license
• express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer a permanent full-time position with start date according to agreement.

Regarding day and evening service: The position is full-time or according to agreement. The schedule is set for days, evenings, and every other weekend. Within the Department of Health & Care, all employees in home care and care housing are employed at 100% (37 hours/week) engagement, but employees have the opportunity to reduce their engagement level based on operational needs.

Regarding permanent weekend service: You will receive a permanent employment where the weekend assignment is time-limited for six months with a chance of extension. The engagement level is 71 or 85 percent, plus time for workplace meetings (APT). For permanent weekends, you receive a wage supplement.

Before an offer of employment, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented. The type of record extract required is "Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities". (See e-service | Swedish Police Authority).

Background checks may be conducted before employment.

As of July 1, 2023, "Nursing Assistant" (Undersköterska) is a protected professional title.

Therefore, when employed as a nursing assistant, you must present proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to use the title. Please apply now if you do not already have your license.
